The Weaver: A Poem For Easter

525THE  WEAVER

My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me,

I cannot choose the colours

He worketh steadily.

Oftimes He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I, the underside.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

  1. “Oftimes He weaveth sorrow”

The Heavenly Father has no need or reason to weaver sorrow, man is completely capable without assistance, plus is gives evil a pass.

Happy Easter Monday to everyone. Monday is the day Jesus rose from the dead, not Sunday.

Thanks for pointing this out. In other words, the MORE button under each article on the Homepage is missing. I’ll see this is fixed ASAP. Meanwhile, access to all the most recent articles can be obtained by clicking on any article title in the right-hand bar where it says “Recent Articles.”
