Election Special: ‘Vote For Trump, He Will Save The World!’ Says Controversial Pope-Hating Archbishop

Catholic archbishop pushes QAnon themes in letter to Trump

A controversial figure within the Roman Catholic Church made waves in the online world of QAnon on Friday, after his open letter to President Trump was quoted in a post from the anonymous leader of the cultlike conspiracy movement.

“Mr. President, my prayer is constantly turned to the beloved American nation . . .  I am praying for you and also for all those who are at your side in the government of the United States . . . United against the Invisible Enemy of all humanity, I bless you and the First Lady, the beloved American nation, and all men and women of good will.”  — Carlo Maria Viganò, Titular Archbishop of Ulpiana, Former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America. (For Full Letter , see HERE)

The letter by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, a former Vatican ambassador to the United States and outspoken adversary of Pope Francis, hit many of the favorite themes of the pro-Trump conspiracy theory, attacking its familiar villains, from the ominous “global elite” to Bill Gates and “the mainstream media.”

“The fate of the whole world is being threatened by a global conspiracy against God and humanity,” Viganò wrote, emphasizing the “epochal importance of the imminent election,” casting Trump as “the final garrison against the world dictatorship” and his Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, as “a person who is manipulated by the deep state.”

Not long after “Q” posted the letter to the fringe message board 8kun early Friday morning, it was tweeted by former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn. Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials, has publicly embraced QAnon rhetoric in the past, and his tweet quickly generated tens of thousands of retweets and even more likes.

By late Friday morning, Marc-André Argentino, a PhD candidate at Canada’s Concordia University who has closely studied QAnon, observed that the letter was gaining widespread traction across QAnon channels and groups online, and was being discussed in languages including Hebrew, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and Italian.

This wasn’t the first letter Viganò had written to Trump, nor was it his first time flirting with QAnon-inspired conspiracy theories.

After serving as the Vatican’s top diplomat to the U.S. from 2011 to 2016, Viganò first gained real notoriety in August 2018 when he published another open letter calling for the resignation of Pope Francis, whom he accused, without evidence, of covering up allegations of sexual abuse by prominent clerics. In that letter and subsequent others published that year, Viganò repeatedly blamed gay priests for the Catholic Church’s child abuse crisis, and accused Pope Francis of promoting a dangerous “homosexual current” within the Vatican.

In recent years, Viganò, who has reportedly been in hiding since he published his initial 7,000-word screed against Pope Francis, has continued to use open letters and occasional interviews to deride the pope while also expressing other, increasingly paranoid and conspiratorial views, such as the claim that Masons and Jesuits were working to “infiltrate” the Catholic Church, or that a “gay mafia” of bishops was “sabotaging all efforts at reform.”

In recent months, Viganò has turned his attention beyond the Catholic Church. In May, he promulgated a manifesto, signed by a number of priests and other clergy, which cast doubt on the seriousness of the coronavirus, claiming that the pandemic is being used as a pretext by unspecified “powers” to impose restrictions on the public as part of a larger plot to create “a world government beyond all control.”

A month later, Viganò further aligned himself with these and other conspiracy theories with his first open letter to President Trump, in which he expressed belief in the existence of a “deep state” within the U.S. government “which is fiercely waging war” against Trump, described the response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a “colossal operation of social engineering,” and claimed that the racial injustice protests that were then taking place across the U.S. in response to the police killing of George Floyd were in fact provoked by shadowy forces “who would like to see someone elected in the upcoming presidential elections who embodies the goals of the deep state.”

In the June letter, which was published by the ultraconservative, anti-abortion website LifeSiteNews, Viganò also referenced the controversy over Trump’s visit, days earlier, to a shrine to Pope John Paul II the day after he’d visited a church across from the White House, in a brief photo op involving the violent dispersal of peaceful protesters.

Trump tweeted the letter, writing that he was “honored” by it, and encouraging his more than 80 million followers to read it, “religious or not.”

In response to the Trump tweet, some Catholic writers, like James Keane, an editor at the Jesuit magazine America, sought to discourage the publicity it would inevitably bring Viganò, insisting that the archbishop “is aligning with Trump to stay in the spotlight. Pay him no attention.”

“A tweet like this from the president of the United States, especially a tweet widely reported on in newspapers and on social media platforms, may lead some readers to think that President Trump’s behavior and policies have been endorsed by the Catholic Church,” wrote Keane.

“It’s not true,” Keane continued. “In reality, Mr. Trump was responding to yet another public letter from a marginal figure, one who has made a growth industry over the last two years of writing increasingly paranoid and disturbing missives against Pope Francis, the Second Vatican Council and many other enemies real and illusory.”

  1. Who is who should be readily obvious from these alignments.
WikiLeaks: Clinton, Obama, Soros Overthrew Pope Benedict In Vatican Coup and everyone in this article critical of Msgr Viganò, including author and Jesuit James Keane
Add the following ingredients to the atheist stew:
THE OCCHIONERO CONSPIRACY: The Pope, the Clintons, Obama and an Italian President & Prime Minister Attempted a Coup Against Trump

Used up allotted links, do your own further searching if so motivated, e.g. “Was there a deeper network behind the ‘Catholic Spring’?”, or
“Catholics Ask Trump to Probe Soros-Obama-Clinton Conspiracy at Vatican”

A reputed “Catholic Spring” surfaced in the news this fall, after hacked emails from John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, indicated plans for an effort to sow revolution within the Church.
But grants to the think tank Podesta founded also suggest links to other efforts targeting religion. The Center for American Progress appears to be part of an influence network that advocates restrictions on religious freedom while promoting dissent within Christianity on sexual morality, especially LGBT issues.

    John Podesta?
Would that be the same John Podesta among whose best friends include Hillary Clinton, Marina Abramovic (of the corpse cooking fame), James Alefatnis of Comet Ping Pong Pizza child torture and sacrifice cult, all centrally connected to this:

    https://cdn.newspunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Marina-Abramovic-And-Jacob-Rothschild-Satan-Summoning-His-Legions_censored-861×1024-1.jpg.webp

The author’s colors are quite obvious from the vocabulary referring to Msgr Viganò in uniformly pejorative terms:
    flirting with QAnon-inspired conspiracy theories,
    • promulgated a manifesto, signed by a number of priests and other clergy, which cast doubt on the seriousness of the coronavirus, claiming that the pandemic is being used as a pretext by unspecified “powers” to impose restrictions on the public as part of a larger plot to create “a world government beyond all control.”
    • further aligned himself with these and other conspiracy theories with his first open letter to President Trump, in which he expressed belief in the existence of a “deep state” within the U.S. government “which is fiercely waging war” against Trump, described the response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a “colossal operation of social engineering,” and claimed that the racial injustice protests that were then taking place across the U.S. in response to the police killing of George Floyd were in fact provoked by shadowy forces “who would like to see someone elected in the upcoming presidential elections who embodies the goals of the deep state.”

Well, I happen to fully agree with every one of the above issues raised, Msgr Viganò is my kind of Catholic leader.

  2. I don’t care what that bishop or cardinal whatever he is viganò says, I’m voting for Joe Biden! Joe Biden has the endorsement of General McGeneral his very self and if Joe Biden is good enough for General McGeneral why by golly Joe Biden is good enough for me! yes sirree!!

I’m kinda sorry to see the presidential campaign come to an end, I’m going to miss Biden’s gaffes. Always very entertaining!

  3. I’m sorry, Lobro. With all due respect, we are unable to re-edit your comments for you. We barely have time to read and monitor the comments here, let alone “re-edit”, revise, and tinker with them. This is something you wouldn’t dream of asking the editors of Truthseeker or the Occidental Observer to do on your behalf, so please don’t expect such extra favors from the Darkmoon site.

You must take responsibility for your own comments in future and not expect the site operators to undertake extra time-consuming work on your behalf.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    1. @ Lobro

OK, rest easy! I’ve made the necessary correction for you .
But please don’t ask us to do this again.

(The other off-topic comments you have introduced, discussing the technical deficiencies of this website. will be deleted in due course. Hope you don’t mind. We are here to discuss the article, not the site’s technical defects.)

  4. Archbishop Vigano should not have his warning linked to Q, which is in my opinion a CIA front, Vigano has factually laid out the zionist plan for a satanic new world order and his condemnation of the Pope is based on facts and the fact that the Vatican was and is taken over by satan as was exposed in the book Wind Swept House by the Catholic priest M. Martin, who had spent years in the Vatican, this book can be had on amazon.

Vigano has laid out very factually the plan for a satanic NWO as in also laid out in the globalist UN Agenda 2030, I urge everyone to google and read it.

  5. Are you aware that CAITLIN DICKSON, the author of that article, works for YAHOO?

We do know that YAHOO is a smaller version of GOOGLE, enemy of Free Speech, who along with “Fact Checkers” Brothers-in-Crime, remove OUR TRUTH and replace it with their versions of “Truth”or simply REMOVE our Versions form the Internet

I am Atheist but would TRUST the ARCHBISHOP, anytime, over GATEKEEPER “Caitlin Dickson” !

    1. @ Freespirit

      Thanks for pointing this out.

However, we didn’t get the article from Yahoo but from Information Clearing House, a highly respected dissident website which we have used as a source for hundreds of articles over the last 7-8 years.

      1. Yes I saw the same article in INFORMATION CLEARING HOUSE, also and have been, to put it mildly, concerned, at times, about TOM FEELEY, the OWNER of ICH and his POLITICAL LEANINGS. I believe Toms is sincere, but leaning to the collectivist side, a bit,on issues which should not be COLLECTIVIST

I have been following his site for about 2 years

  6. The archbishop is a redeemer of Catholicism, as far as I’m concerned! Knowing some Catholics, I know they have a hard time criticizing their Pope – and, hopefully, this archbishop will inspire some cajones in them. 💪

he’s right about the covid, it’s a plot for control… too bad it’s right up the corporate alley, trillions set for the exchange on the vaxx, nobody in the corporate media, including the sharpies at fox, will challenge the basic validity of it… not trump either… he flirts with the notion, disses fauchi and identifies with the hard-put public, but he’ll push the vaxx just the same…. if the virus is fake, no big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ boondoggle…
the bishop seems pretty right-on… he could be simply mistaken about a few things…
somebody tell him, georgy boy floyd died in the hospital of a drug induced cardiac… cops didn’t kill him…
if he pushes that big media lie, it doesn’t say much for his veracity, intentional or otherwise…
this holy man sounds pretty good, but I’m going to have to hear his opinion on illegal immigration before I decide… I guess he probably knows the whole Catholic church has been pushing that for decades…
they’re not here for individual nations, consider themselves bigger, more important than that…
and, there’s so much public relations media fakery going on, what do you believe?

  8. Those who feel that Biden’s win will turn America into a madhouse or a dog house, run down by immigrants, are ill-informed. Truth is, America is great because it a nation of immigrants who contribute to the safety and welfare of the United state since America’ss day one. Immigrants in America are assets and not a liability. Imagine who lovely a bouquet of assorted flower looks and smell. Isn’t it better than have a bouquet that looks dull with all flowers of the same color?

Don’t believe me, just google search for example the contributions of Arab Americans, you might learn something. But to blame all the ills in America on immigrants is ludicrous.

I have to confess that there are legitimate criticisms from American Muslims of how Democrats have handled and implemented policies that have harmed Muslims abroad, ranging from pro-Israel bias on the issue of Palestine to drone bombings in Afghanistan and Pakistan, to name just two. That said, when I voted, I chose the party that strengthens Muslims in America and one that has a sound foreign policy, and not one that maligns and alienates Muslims and treats them as suspects and outsiders.

  9. I’m sure Abp Vigano doesn’t hate “the Pope”. No proper Catholic hates anyone, but shows charity, even to the wicked. But, whilst pointing out the heinous heresies of “Pope Francis”, he mistakenly sees him as Pope of the Catholic Church, which he certainly is not and cannot be, since heretics cannot be elected Pope. “Francis” is pope of Newchurch, Satan’s counter-church, which works against Christ’s Church, the Catholic Church.
President Trump will not save America. We can’t vote our troubles away, for the U.S. is a nation of evil people (in general), who allow all sorts of immorality, which is often allowed by law (legal). Well, God says it is to be otherwise, and until the nation sees its errors and repents, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth, because God will allow a severe chastisement to come upon us. This is true for many other nations, as well.

The plandemic and subsequent economic hardship and social upheavals are evidence of chastisement. If our overlords have their way, tyranny and totalitarianism will be commonplace, as they were during the Jewish Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, during which at least 60 million people were butchered, starved, shot or exiled. The Revolution later extended to Ukraine, where the farmers were driven away or killed, which caused the deaths of at least 7 million more. Revolution = bloodshed.

    1. i not only read Keith’s comment but reread it, ¡para mí, esto es milagroso! (gotta practice my spanish, miss it a lot), because i am such a terrible reader (must be an old hockey injury, Thai neurologists here don’t have much experience with it).
Verdict: a fine comment, cannot find a speck of all-too-common error.

speaking of Trump win, herewith my prediction for ’21:
      • biden spits out his pacifier, bangs rattle in anger, demands recount, gives up on the count of four, loses interest,
      • deep state+jews pull out all stops to physically eliminate Trump, expect assassination attempts soon, presumably before jan 21 re-inauguration, i guess pelosi’s window to squirm into the WH, at least she gets the oval office as consolation prize if she can no longer ovulate,
      • if he survives, mass firings+resignations demanded: Pompeo, Esper, Haspel, Wray, maybe Barr+Durham, high pressure hose to clean out joint chiefs of perfidy, new set of generals (many brought temporarily back from retirement) to weed out the treasonous field commanders that countered all of Trump’s previous orders and stabbed him in the back (e.g., Soleimani, refusal to withdraw from Syria),
      • indictments get going with or without Barr, across the board declassifying of many documents,
      • possible immunity for Assange,
      • Jews scrambling out of the country—will they, can they be stopped and called to answer
      • fed dismantled,
      • return to gold+silver standard?
      • Israel will annex west bank in a hurry, also Gaza but Syria may well grab Golan back with Iranian (overt) and Russian (covert) help which will make Israel a net loser b/c with Syrians up high they can lob shells all over Israel at will,
      • Trump will act a peacekeeper, fair+square which will freak out Jew, not used to fair+square but can only grit teeth b/c in much weakened position, only the toothless Nato mouthing pro-jew platitudes,
      • media gets a big clean-up, big tech broken up,
      • possible legislative acts against jew regaining status after Trump, e.g., dual loyalty/passports, monopoly laws, academic freedom, reinforced first amendment,
      • santa claus grants lobro’s wishes.

      1. @Lobro

got my esp on the roll …

ESP? Acting on an assumption that one is blessed with Extra-Sensory-Perception is a strong violation of Chairman Mao’s principle of “the importance of correct thinking”.

Anyone who is foolhardy enough to act in this way may get lucky once, twice or even thrice but it is virtually guaranteed that in the end he will get “a noose around his neck”.

Let me repeat: Uncertainty is a fact of human life, so a reasonable person should always hedge his bets.

In particular, even if you have cojones as big as ostrich’s eggs, you shall never keep them in one basket. This was understood long time ago by the prosperous merchants in 17th century Amsterdam who bought and sold mathematical expectations as if they were tangible goods.

Risk is something that should be handled with great care. Since you seem to have some knowledge of mathematics, I would recommend you Daniel Bernoulli’s paper of 1738 that made a revolution in the science of risk management (the beginnings of which go back to the famous exchange between Pierre de Fermat and Blaise Pascal in 1654 on Luca Paccioli’s “problem of points” https://www.aps.org/publications/apsnews/200907/physicshistory.cfm ):

      2. Uncertainty is a fact of human life

        Circassian

… and we, the humans, are incredibly lucky that it is so:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77ueTRaYTwg

Can you imagine how boring it must be to be an all-knowing, omnipotent God?!

An eternal God? No, I wish to remain a man in a world where nothing is certain except death.

      3. @ Circassian

Can you imagine how boring it must be to be an all-knowing, omnipotent God?! An eternal God? No, I wish to remain a man in a world where nothing is certain except death.

Beautifully put, Circassian. Couldn’t agree with you more! Death is certain, but it doesn’t follow from this that an afterlife can be ruled out as a very strong possibility.

Many famous philosophers and scientists have believed in a life after death, without being able to prove it. Conversely, no atheist has ever been able to prove the non-existence of God. Or, for that matter, the annihilation of consciousness and personal identity after death.

Apart from which, there’s no need to assume that God is “all-powerful” and “all-knowing”. But even if he is, you can be sure He has a few tricks up his sleeve! 🙂 Because as a simple Catholic saint, Therese of Lisieux, once said to a smartyboots grownup when she was a little girl: “If He’s God, He can do anything, can’t he?”

      4. @Sister Monica

Philosophy is a fascinating thing; yet, there is something that is way more profound and way more useful… especially in these times of great upheaval and great uncertainty. Undoubtedly you know what it is, don’t you

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZxzZFddmTg

I sure hope that you won’t take this as a sign of disrespect to your sisterhood, if I may put it that way 🙂

      5. @ LOBRO
        November 4, 2020 at 4:19 am

An exceptionally fine comment from Lobro, predicting hellfire and brimstone and a year ahead (2021) which will go down in history as possibly the worst year of the 21st century.

Let’s hope Lobro’s wrong, for our children’s sake, and that whoever loses the election will be a good boy and melt into the shadows gracefully without creating a big fuss.

However, I feel strongly that Lobro is far more likely to be proved right rather than wrong in many of his doomladen predictions. Choppy waters certainly like ahead. The sea is not exactly calm.

The Titanic is inching toward the Iceberg . . .

    2. Francis is the White Pope who is moving towards becoming the implementing instrument of the Black Pope…. the head of the Jesuit Order. He is very DARK GRAY already.

  10. Do you have any articles that support the Bishop? I have never heard of him before but he sounds intelligent, the complete opposite of the author if the article, Caitlin Dickson. It’s the homosexuals (priests that had sex only with males that were young – Dr. E Michael Jones pointed this out) that gave the ammunition the (((media))) needed to drag the church thru the mud. Regarding the Corona Virus, the Bishop is also correct. There are numerous doctors from top ranked institutions (including Dr. Harvey Risch of Yale University – look him up on Youtube) that say the Corona Virus is almost never deadly to someone under 60 and a “cocktail” of drugs, including hydroxychloroquine administered by a physician could cure many older people and save their lives, bringing the death count way down, possibly to almost nothing.

  11. Trump barely saved himself… quitting HIS 2012 run for Prezzy… 🙂

Trump has always favored Democrats. He wanted to run as a Democrat in 1988 but would have had to borrow too much money to do so.

In 1999 Donald Trump ran for the nomination of the Reform Party which exists as a small third party within the United States. He had long talked about running for President and announced in 1999.

If he won he announced who would serve in a Trump administration if he had won:

    Vice President: Oprah Winfrey

    Secretary of State: Colin Powell

    Secretary of Defence: John McCain

    Secretary of Treasury: Jack Welch

While Trump’s campaign did capture the attention of the news media at the time, because he was not running for either the Republican or Democratic nomination his campaign was not given the same attention as his 2016 run.
After he withdrew in 2000… Trump became a democrat and was one from 2001-2009 (the sum total of Bush’s Presidency) he the became independent before he again became a Republican again in 2012!!

    THEN……
Donald Trump had to give up his 2012 Presidential campaign or face criminal charges by the FEC for campaign contributions violations in 2011.

He and his attorney- Michael Cohen – had to remove his website: http://www.ShouldTrumpRun.com

FEC conclusion…. (He was lucky he had not yet officially become a candidate, or he would have likely had to pay a big fine and gone to prison.):

    III Conclusion (p. 10)

Mr. Trump never became a candidate. Therefore, he was never subject to the source and amount restrictions of the Act.
Therefore, there is no reason to believe the respondents violated 11C.F.R.§100.72(a) or 11C.F.R.§100.131(a)
