Scapegoating China: The New Anti-China Coronavirus Campaign Is Built On Lies

LD : According to Moon of Alabama, the Chinese are not guilty of any wrongdoing in regard to Coronavirus, a view shared not only by Germany but by world-renowned virologists in France, Australia, Britain and the United States. America is the guilty party, and in particular the Trump administration, in seeking to pin the blame on China for its own ineptitude in failing to get to grips with this crisis earlier and initially dismissing it as “fake news”. Trump’s belligerent posturing, designed to get him reelected, will only lead to increased military spending and run the risk of igniting war.  So says Moon of Alabama and many others who think like him. Feel free to disagree if you wish. [LD]

“Like Russiagate, this new yellow peril will lead to greater military spending and more war . . . ” (ICH)

To avoid self-examination of the failures that let the U.S. exceed the covid-19 casualty numbers of every other nation, the powers that be decided to blame someone else.

Trump’s first attempt was to blame the World Health Organization for not providing all information. But 16 U.S. administration officials were embedded with the WHO in Geneva. They relayed real time updates of all information the World Health Organization (WHO) received.

As the Democrats and the media did not join Trump in blaming the WHO, another scapegoat was needed. Everyone then agreed that China would be the most convenient target.

The intensity of the current anti-China campaign reminds one of the run up to the war on Iraq. The people who now claim that ‘China lied, people died’ are the very same who ran the Iraq WMD campaign. But all the reports claiming Iraqi weapons of mass destruction were just fantasy. The reports of Chinese culpability are similar nonsense.

As this is an election year both parties try to associate the other side with the new villain:

“Donald Trump sent critical medical supplies to China as Americans continue to suffer. He needs to follow his supposed motto of America First,” American Bridge President Bradley Beychok said in a statement. “We’re making sure that voters across Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin know full well not only how badly Trump botched this crisis, but also how badly he bent the knee to China in the midst of it as well.”

“We are more than happy to let the American public decide whom they trust, President Trump or Beijing Joe Biden, to get tough on China,” said Brian O. Walsh, president of America First, in response to the new ad campaign by American Bridge. American Bridge said the ad is the first of its new offensive campaign targeting Trump, his company, business associates and adult children over their ties to China and other foreign investments.

The group said it plans on rolling out microtargeted digital ads on that theme as part of “an all-out assault on Trump and his family over their corruption — in China and other countries — involving foreign bribes, political favors, shady real estate investments, and parties with dictators.”

This will be bad for other important political issues:

The anti China hawkishness is going to drown out progressive momentum for universal healthcare and cancelling student debt. Like Russiagate, this new yellow peril will lead to greater military spending and more war. Sad so many who should know better can’t see that.

Some lawmakers want to allow random people to sue China over the ‘damage it caused’. Other seek to default on the $1.2 trillion of debt the U.S. owns China.

To blame China the hawks are accusing it of three issues:

—  Lack of public hygiene
—  Insufficient information
—  Creating or spreading the virus by accident

The “wet market” in Wuhan did not have hygiene problems. A “wet market” is comparable to a farmers market (vid). It is “wet” in that it provides fresh products like fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. A “dry market” provides the complementary products like rice, flour, tea and sugar. China has yet to be overrun by super market chains. Some 40% of the Chinese people source their daily food at the wet markets.

The wet market in Wuhan was not the source of the epidemic. It did not and does not sell bats. The epidemic started in December at a time when bats hibernate. The first known case was not related to the market at all.

LD : Note that sentence highlighted in red:  “The wet market in Wuhan . . . did not and does not sell bats.”  So how come 99.9 percent of the public, including myself here, have been made to believe that tainted bat meat from Wuhan was the original source of the infection? Is Moon of Alabama mistaken . . .  or have we all been lied to?

The U.S. claims that China did not inform it sufficiently. The timeline as published by China and confirmed by media reports does not support that claim.

On January 3 the head of the U.S. Center of Disease Control was personally informed by his Chinese counterpart that there was an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown cause in Wuhan. On January 8 the “unknown cause” was identified as a novel coronavirus. A full genome sequence of the virus was published on January 12 and preliminary testing kits were developed and made available in Wuhan. By January 13 another test and test protocol had been developed in Germany and on January 17 the WHO adopted its refined version.

In the U.S. the CDC insisted on developing its own test and failed by contaminating its test components. It then failed for more than a month to correct the issue.

The German Federal Health Ministry was recently asked if it perceived a lack of information from China or saw reason to criticize China over its changing case numbers.

It responded (in German, my translation):

“The federal government of Germany is not aware that China held back any data.”  […]  “Considering the interim development the adoption of different definitions of cases during the epidemic in China is comprehensible.”

Another claim is that China somehow created the virus or let it escape from a laboratory in Wuhan where it was researching bat viruses.

But scientists see strong evidence that the novel coronavirus is a natural development and they do not believe that it leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan:

Edward Holmes, a biologist at the University of Sydney and a fellow of the respected Royal Society in London, said the Wuhan laboratory blamed by some for the pandemic does have specimens of the bat virus RaTG13, the closest relative of Covid-19 source SARS-CoV-2, but the two are not genetically linked.

RaTG13 strains, he says, are from the southern Chinese province of Yunnan, not the central city of Wuhan, the pandemic’s initial epicenter.

Genome tracing has revealed that the bat virus RaTG13 has at least 20 years of genetic divergence, or evolutionary change, from SARS-CoV-2, and possibly as much as 50 years, ruling it out as the source of the pandemic.

The claims against China made by both U.S. parties do not have a factual basis.

It is no wonder then that Chinese people are asking “What Do You Really Want From Us?

  1. President Trump has used bluster all his life and seems to have got away with it.
He is a weird, narcissistic man, and could lead America into more wars .

  2. The jewsa will not fight against Russia or china.
They all work together as we know who rules these countries. All this blaming etc. is just meant as diversion, confusion of the masses as they are regarded as ants. The only ‘war’ they wage in collaboration with each other is the war against the masses.

  3. Last year it was “RUSSIA-RUSSIA-RUSSIA!!”
    This year it is “CHINA-CHINA-CHINA!!”

That will keep the world busy enough while preparing to vaccinate all of the US and the world. Then the ‘vaccine certification chip’ will be required everywhere!

Vaccine police: “You don’t want to crash the economy, do you??…. So, you must take this vaccine!”

It is happening in CHICAGO right now:

In all likelihood this will mean that receiving ALL forms of Federal Reserve funny money will require proof of vaccination. It seems inevitable

      2. The ‘STATED’ ultimate GOAL – SCARE THE WORLD INTO…. Immunization Agenda 2030 – IA 2030!

Immunization Agenda 2030: A Global Strategy to Leave No One Behind – 2 April 2020

        SEE: Draft Four – 2 April 2020

Immunization is a global health and development success story, saving millions of lives every year.
We now have vaccines to prevent more than 20 life-threatening diseases, helping people of all ages live longer, healthier lives.

Immunization is the foundation of the primary health care system and an indisputable human right. It’s also one of the best health investments money can buy. Yet despite tremendous progress, far too many people around the world – including nearly 20 million infants each year – have insufficient access to vaccines. In some countries, progress has stalled or even reversed, and there is a real risk that complacency will undermine past achievements.

With the support of countries and partners, WHO is leading the co-creation of a new global vision and strategy to address these challenges over the next decade, to be endorsed by the World Health Assembly.
(Immunization Agenda 2030) IA 2030 – envisions a world where everyone, everywhere, at every age, fully benefits from vaccines to improve health and well-being.

  4. Trump getting a second term can only be ENHANCED by this ridiculous fear mongering. He’d be like FDR if there were no term limits for a POTUS. It’s hard enough to defeat an INCUMBENT President, let alone one overseeing this phony crisis 😝

  5. As I suggested in my last comment on the “Coronavirus Bombshell…” article, I firmly believe SARS-CoV-2 is a bioweapon used by the USRaeli Empire of Evil to attack China. And I believe the attack failed to achieve the attackers’ goal, which was to inflict severe, wide-spread, long-lasting economic and political damage, thereby stopping or at least greatly slowing China’s rise to great power status.

Of course the attackers couldn’t know in advance exactly how things would work out, so they have contingency plans. Unfortunately for the attackers, China is still standing, so now we see the predictable effort to demonize and blame it for the pandemic, the possible goals being everything from seizing Chinese assets in the U.S. to open warfare.

But as I see it the attackers may not get much traction in this effort because too many things have happened. Too many viruses have struck China (swine flu, bird flu and now SARS-CoV-2); too many suspicious acts by the U.S. “government”/media complex and its loyal servants and henchmen have taken place. We’re at the same point now with regard to COVID-19 as we are with 9/11: NOTHING that we see and hear can be taken at face value.

For example, Moon of Alabama cites a paper entitled “The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2” wherein the authors argue that the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 is a natural occurrence, not the product of science in the service of evil. As part of their argument to this end, the authors state, for example:

“While the analyses above suggest that SARS-CoV-2 may bind human ACE2 with high affinity, computational analyses predict that the interaction is not ideal7 and that the RBD sequence is different from those shown in SARS-CoV to be optimal for receptor binding7,11. Thus, the high-affinity binding of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to human ACE2 is most likely the result of natural selection on a human or human-like ACE2 that permits another optimal binding solution to arise. This is strong evidence that SARS-CoV-2 is not the product of purposeful manipulation.”

I’m not a microbiologist nor do I claim any specialized knowledge of the subject matter whatsoever, but to the extent I correctly understand this statement, I have to ask: Why would an attacker want SARS-CoV-2 to be biologically “ideal” in any obvious way, or just like SARS-CoV (which was more lethal)? SARS-CoV – if it was a bioweapon – was not a very good one because for one reason it was too lethal and dead people don’t spread pathogenic microorganisms as well as live people.

I believe the Trump administration’s “ineptitude” in handling the COVID-19 crisis parallels the Bush administration’s “ineptitude” regarding the 9/11 attack and related events; the apparent ineptitude and the posturing are part of a calculated effort to exacerbate the situation for political gain and to create plausible deniability.

Everything I’ve seen so far points to SARS-CoV-2 being a bioweapon, IMO.

    1. Thanks, Homer. Great point by Gilad:

“I ask because just three years ago the USA experienced one of its most severe influenza outbreaks in recent memory. I am talking about the 2017-18 influenza that according to The American Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was associated with “45 million illnesses, 21 million medical visits, 810,000 hospitalizations.” By September 2018 CNN announced that as many as 80.000 were dead for reasons associated with the outbreak.

“The number of flu cases that year in the USA alone was about 18 times higher than the current number of Novel Coronavirus cases worldwide (2.5 million so far). The number of hospitalized American patients was more than 4 times higher than those who have been hospitalised in the USA with Coronavirus symptoms (200.000 to date). The fatalities/hospitalized ratio that year was around 0.1, about the same ratio we saw in Northern Italy last month. And if all of that isn’t enough, the number of American fatalities in 2017-18 was more than three times the deaths currently associated with Covid-19.

“The first question that comes to mind is why didn’t America lock itself down amidst its catastrophic 2017-18 influenza as it has now? One may wonder why the CDC didn’t react to the ‘severity’ of the outbreak that was at least three times as lethal as the current Novel Coronavirus health crisis? But, even more disturbing is the fact that despite the severity of the 2017 flu outbreak and its deadly impact, the enormous number of hospitalisations and the infectious rate, the World Health Organisation (WHO) didn’t see the need to alert the world or to close the planet for business as it did this year. Peculiarly, the WHO didn’t even bother to tag the American outbreak as an epidemic or pandemic. It was just an ordinary ‘influenza.’”

    2. I think the argument is that if not for the lockdown, COVID-19 would be much worse than the 2017-18 flu season,

      1. HS –

The numbers have been inflated as healthcare professionals were given a ‘directive’ by the CDC to do so.

Minnesota: Republican state senator Scott Jensen, who is also a medical doctor, says the AMA is encouraging doctors to over-count coronavirus deaths.   He revealed that “Medicare is determining that if you have a COVID-19 admission to the hospital you get 13,000. If that COVID-19 patient goes on a ventilator you get 39,000, THREE TIMES as much.”

Several days ago, he told local media he received a directive from the Minnesota Department of Health to list COVID-19 as the cause of death on death certificates even if patients were never tested for it.
When asked why officials would want to inflate the death statistics, Jensen said, “Fear is a great way to control people, and I worry about that.”

The document mentioned by Dr Jensen is from the CDC and is here:

From the CDC’s Vital Statistics Reporting Guidance:

“An accurate count of the number of deaths due to COVID–19 infection, which depends in part on proper death certification, is critical to ongoing public health surveillance and response. When a death is due to COVID–19, it is likely the UCOD and thus, it should be reported on the lowest line used in Part I of the death certificate. Ideally, testing for COVID–19 should be conducted, BUT it IS ACCEPTABLE to report COVID–19 on a death certificate – WITHOUT – this CONFIRMATION if the circumstances are COMPELLING within a – REASONABLE – degree of certainty.”

“….BUT it IS ACCEPTABLE to report COVID–19 on a death certificate – WITHOUT – this CONFIRMATION if the circumstances are COMPELLING within a – REASONABLE – degree of certainty.”

AND…. there have never been enough test kits to determine REAL numbers.

      2. @ Pat

“The numbers have been inflated as healthcare professionals were given a ‘directive’ by the CDC to do so.”

I don’t doubt that at all, but because of the unique features of this disease, it seems they have a practical problem trying to determine if older people – especially those with comorbidities – are dying from the disease or with the disease, so they apparently opt for the former. And I can understand that since nobody fully understands this disease.

This virus seems to be significantly different from the seasonal flu in the way it causes damage – in some cases apparently long-lasting or permanent damage – even in younger people with no known risk factors.

It has been shown to be neuroinvasive and has caused cardiorespiratory failure (where people just drop dead) and seems to cause excessive blood clots leading to strokes and heart attacks.

It seems there are enough unknowns about COVID-19 that I’ll grudgingly wear a mask and put up with a lockdown for a little while at least.

  6. @ LD
…how come 99.9 percent of the public… have been made to believe that tainted bat meat from Wuhan was the original source of infection ?

The French team AFP Fact Check is a “verification hub for tackling the damaging COVID-19 misinformation that is spreading as fast as the novel coronavirus. Updated daily, it contains debunks, tips, trustworthy sources and more”, according to the site itself.

While I do not endorse all of their many adjustments, it seems to me plausible what they write – supported by photos and video – about the alleged wet market with bats for sale in Wuhan. AFP states that the market really seen in that famous You Tube video is the “Langowan Market”, “a traditional market in Minahasa Regency, Indonesia’s North Sulawesi Province, that sells wild animals for consumption, according to reports by US-based environmental news site Mongabay”

(27 Jan. 2020 This video shows a market selling wild animals in Indonesia’s Sulawesi island )

  7. Members of the US Coronavirus Task Force do not agree with you about the need to reopen the economy soon or easing the restrictions on social distancing and public activities recommended by public health officials to help contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Trump had been standing at the front press briefing room along with key members of his coronavirus task force. Mostly he is the only one who speaks on the subject even though he lacks the medical and health address the issue. Most of the time he talks none sense or how good pf a president he is. Mostly he blamed others and pretend as if he shit does not smell.

Quite often the president bullies and insults reporters who ask him tough question. He never answer the question or he suddenly switch to another reporter to avoid being grilled. The press briefing is more entertaining than inforation. I can best describe it as a circus.

I have no idea what is the need for the other members of the Coronavirus Task Force to stand behind the president while he is running his mouth. To me they look like robots or dummies. They can only speaks when prompted by the 45, otherwise they risk losing their good paying job. That is my two cents.

  8. Kissinger’s population control memo 1974 included CHINA…. as a ‘Least Developed Country’ (LDC)…. CHINA has been a target for many decades.
    Hank wrote:
“In the LDCs, although 31 countries, including China, have national population growth control programs…”

National Security Study Memorandum NSSM 200
Implications of Worldwide Population Growth For U.S. Security and Overseas Interests
    December 10, 1974

    (p. 121 to end – excerpted)

    V. Action to Develop World-Wide Political and Popular Commitment to Population Stability Discussion:

A far larger, high-level effort is needed to develop a greater commitment of leaders of both developed and developing countries to undertake efforts, commensurate with the need, to bring population growth under control.
In the United States, we do not yet have a domestic population policy despite widespread recognition that we should — supported by the recommendations of the remarkable Report of the Commission on Population Growth and the American Future.
Although world population growth is widely recognized within the Government as a current danger of the highest magnitude calling for urgent measures, it does not rank high on the agendas of conversations with leaders of other nations.
Nevertheless, the United States Government and private organizations give more attention to the subject than any donor countries except, perhaps, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. France makes no meaningful contribution either financially or verbally. The USSR no longer opposes efforts of U.S. agencies but gives no support.

In the LDCs, although 31 countries, including China, have national population growth control programs and 16 more include family planning in their national health services ── at least in some degree — the commitment by the leadership in some of these countries is neither high nor wide. These programs will have only modest success until there is much stronger and wider acceptance of their real importance by leadership groups. Such acceptance and support will be essential to assure that the population information, education and service programs have vital moral backing, administrative capacity, technical skills and government financing.

    1. Executive Branch

    a. The President and the Secretary of State should make a point of discussing our national concern about world population growth in meetings with national leaders where it would be relevant.

    b. The Executive Branch should give special attention to briefing the Congress on population matters to stimulate support and leadership which the Congress has exercised in the past. A program for this purpose should be developed by S/PM with H and AID.

    2. World Population Conference

    a. In addition to the specific recommendations for action listed in the preceding sections, U.S. agencies should use the prestige of the World Population Plan of Action to advance all of the relevant action recommendations made by it in order to generate more effective programs for population growth limitation. AID should coordinate closely with the UNFPA in trying to expand resources for population assistance programs, especially from non-OECD, non-traditional donors. The U.S. should continue to play a leading role in ECOSOC and General Assembly discussions and review of the WPPA.

    3. Department of State

    a. The State Department should urge the establishment at U.N. headquarters of a high level seminar for LDC cabinet and high level officials and non-governmental leaders of comparable responsibility for indoctrination in population matters. They should have the opportunity in this seminar to meet the senior officials of U.N. agencies and leading population experts from a variety of countries.

    b. The State Department should also encourage organization of a UNFPA policy staff to consult with leaders in population programs of developing countries and other experts in population matters to evaluate programs and consider actions needed to improve them.

    c. A senior officer, preferably with ambassadorial experience, should be assigned in each regional bureau dealing with LDCs or in State’s Population Office to give full-time attention to the development of commitment by LDC leaders to population growth reduction.

    d. A senior officer should be assigned to the Bureau of International Organization Affairs to follow and press action by the Specialized Agencies of the U.N. in population matters in developing countries.

    e. Part of the present temporary staffing of S/PM for the purposes of the World Population Year and the World Population Conference should be continued on a permanent basis to take advantage of momentum gained by the Year and Conference.

    Alternate View on 3.c.

    b. The Department should expand its efforts to help Ambassadorial and other high-ranking U.S.G. personnel understand the consequences of rapid population growth and the remedial measures possible.

    c. The Department would also give increased attention to developing a commitment to population growth reduction on the part of LDC leaders.

    d. Adequate manpower should be provided inS/PM and other parts of the Department as appropriate to implement these expanded efforts.

    4. A I D. should expand its programs to increase the understanding of LDC leaders regarding the consequences of rapid population growth and their commitment to undertaking remedial actions. This should include necessary actions for collecting and analyzing adequate and reliable demographic data to be used in promoting awareness of the problem and in formulating appropriate policies and programs.

    5. USIA. As a major part of U.S. information policy, the improving but still limited programs of USIA to convey information on population matters should be strengthened to a level commensurate with the importance of the subject.

  9. Trump repeated a talking point he heard earlier that day on Fox News, which pointed out the coronavirus was not mentioned during a Democratic debate in Las Vegas on Feb. 19, implying his opponents were also failing to make the outbreak a priority.

Did we have a Democrat in the White House on February 19? Inquiring mind wants to know!

  10. It hasn’t been long ago that China was paying to broadcast commercials on American television bragging about taking over business practices, here. I remember them well.
For any American to continue a defensive posture for the regime which is KNOWN to manufacture inferior-grade pharmaceuticals, fentynol, and poison infant formulas to the United States, is treasonous. Origins of the overblown “virus” aside, China is NOT our friend. As a matter of fact, EVERYTHING of international consequence is inspired by ethnic loyalty – or ethnic animosity and distrust. “Racism” is necessary for survival of any culture.

      1. Monica –

Good business investments does NOT mean that malfeasance doesn’t exist. China’s divestiture of assets isn’t any different than anyone else’s. Meanwhile, it is NO reason to take down our guard. Bad intentions have already been demonstrated. Inferior consumer products (even harmful ones) are already known to exist.
It is like being “Jew-wise”… We can do business with them, but need always be wary they are “different” and apt to be unscrupulous. (“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME.”) 😳😉

        1. Gilbert,

I just sent you a video because I thought it might interest you. It was a friendly gesture. I was not contradicting you in any way. So why are getting so excited and confrontational? The video was meant to please you, not to pick holes in your argument!

Can you understand that and calm down a bit! 🙂

          Sister Monica

        1. Never mind, dear Gilbert. The truth is we need you here to put your viewpoint, and you must not be deterred by the occasional attack upon you. As you’d be the first to admit, universal amity and total agreement on all issues is quite impossible! 🙂

LD deeply regrets that she cannot please you by sharing your unstinted admiration for Donald Trump. If she did, she would fall foul of Harold Smith, John Kirby, Pat, and many others on this site who judge Trump on his actions. Since pleasing everyone is just not possible, LD has to use her own judgement and form her own conclusions on the evidence available.

A new article by Philip Giraldi is about to be published in a few minutes. It’s a companion piece to the Kaminski article that precedes it. You won’t like it, dear Gilby. Because it doesn’t say nice things about the President. We are not responsible for Giraldi’s opinions. Or Kaminski’s. Neither of these writers share your respect for the President who seems to be completely owned by the Jews. LD happens to agree with Giraldi that Trump is not doing a very good job, but she agrees with you in the sense that Trump is probably better than any other available alternatives.

She would prefer a John F Kennedy! 🙂 … And so would you, I think.

It’s actually good for you that your mind should be occasionally exposed to ideas you don’t like. This is what helps us to change, modify, and fine-tune our ideas.

  11. Scapegoating China with anti-China Covid-19 Campaign is built on lies and extreme agitation. Let us add the following facts that the USA fears China as the new Superpower. U.S. directed it’s coronavirus distraction and dis-information strategy away from Russia to China. U.S. is extremely aware that Russia in 2020 is a military powerhouse, and can never repeat their gangster Bolshevik-Wall Street takeover, 1917 style.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative is a massive trade and infrastructure project that links China to dozens of economies across Asia, Europe, Africa, and Oceania. The crumbling U.S. Government underachievers and underperformers are now attempting to create a viable alternative to the project by increasing investment in Asia, with the global scare of a coronavirus pandemic. Good Luck!

China as of December 2019, owns $1.07 trillion of U.S. Treasury debt. Russian central bank gold reserves stand at 2,219.2 metric tons, China’s holdings are at 1,936.5 metric tons. Representing real global wealth.

Conversely, the weasels in the crumbling last stages of Empire are issuing Trillions upon Trillions of fake money to support it’s broken down military, support it’s Wall Street parasites, including a futile attempt to mass murder and steal invaded countries natural resources. Currently in the throes of robbing its citizenry of it’s labor, wealth, and US Constitutional rights by claiming an invisible threat, the coronavirus campaign.

Finally, the incestuously complicit fraudulent malpractice cabal of Bill Melinda Gates Foundation, Clinton Foundation, U.N., W.H.O., C.D.C., H.H.S., Fauci, NIAID, Birx, Bezos, Buffett, Soros, and Kissinger represent the criminals, crimes against humanity, last attempt through the false pandemic Covid-19 to bring a New World Order. Best of Luck Weasels!
