LD:  Listening to music, especially classical music, can do remarkable things to the mind and be a useful adjunct to meditation. Not all classical music can slow the heart rate and lower blood pressure, increase concentration, produce alpha waves, and bring about a higher state of consciousness that is conductive to meditation.
